B&B Awards and Recognition has been a member of the Awards and Personalization Association (APA) since starting the business. Through involvement in the APA, the staff has attending many classes to learn how their company can deliver a better product, day to day operations, and about new technologies in the business.
Dick, Joyce, and Tricia have attended at least one trade show a year since their involvement with the business. They often come back with new ideas and new products after these trade shows. All of the staff is enrolled in the certification program that APA offers.
The Certified Recognition Master (CRM) designation is the highest honor in the awards industry, the CRM is attained after taking at least 170 hours of qualified instruction in APA approved seminars and submitting a qualifying CRM paper.
The Certified Recognition Specialist (CRS) designation is attained when enrollees earn seven CEUs, which is equivalent to 70 hours of qualified instruction in APA approved seminars. The APA Certification Program is open to industry retailers, suppliers and their employees.
The CEU was developed by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) with specific criteria and guidelines for use of CEUs. One Continuing Education Unit (CEU) is awarded for 10 contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction.
APA members who earn the designation Certified Recognition Specialist (CRS) have demonstrated their commitment to excellence and professionalism. The CRS Designation is one of the highest honors in the awards industry.
Joyce has earned and received the CRS Designation.
Tricia & Dick have earned and receive their CRS & CRM Designations.
